Kahna, once a strategic village and spiritual stop on the road to Kasur, holds more history than it first appears. Beneath its modest exterior lies a blend of Mughal planning, Sikh devotion, and colonial change. On this tour, we visit the Gurdwara of Baba Jamiyat Singh, pass through the old gateway that once showed Kahna’s importance, and walk around the ancient pond linked to Raja Todarmal, Akbar’s master of revenue. We also explore the abandoned Kahna Railway Station, which tells a story of connection, migration, and the changing life of a settlement close to the border.
